Pool Maintenance
Privacy Policy
Effective June 6, 2026 · Published by D2X Enterprises LLC
This Privacy Policy applies to the Pool Maintenance mobile app for iOS and Android.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Pool Maintenance app (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information. The App is published by D2X Enterprises LLC. We have tried to write this in plain language.
In short: the App has no account, no sign-in, and collects no personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device.
1. We Collect No Personal Data
The App has no account, no sign-in, and no server-side storage of your data. All of your pools, water tests, maintenance tasks, equipment, and seasonal-checklist progress live only on your device. We do not receive, see, or store any of it.
We do not collect your name, email, location, advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, or device fingerprints, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers in the current version of the App.
2. The One Network Request
The only time the App contacts our servers is to fetch educational content (the pool-care articles and seasonal checklists) — a read-only download. That request:
- sends no personal data and is not used to identify you;
- like any internet request, transmits your device’s network (IP) address to the server, which is used only transiently to deliver the content and protect against abuse (rate-limiting). It is never written to durable storage and is not retained.
If your device is offline, the App falls back to the educational content bundled inside it, so it keeps working.
3. Advertising (Not Active Yet)
The current version shows no third-party ads and contains no advertising SDK. We plan to introduce ads (Google AdMob) in a future update. Advertising involves the collection of an advertising identifier and related data by the ad provider. Before that happens, we will update this Privacy Policy and the app-store data-safety disclosures to describe exactly what the ad system collects, and we will obtain any consent required by law. Until then, nothing is collected for advertising.
4. Purchases
The App offers an optional one-time “Pro” purchase. Purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms; we do not receive or store your payment information. The store may share with us a non-identifying confirmation that a purchase was made so the App can unlock Pro features on your device.
5. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for adults who own or maintain swimming pools and who handle pool chemicals. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and because it collects no personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the App involves handling hazardous chemicals, it is intended for users 18 and older.
6. Your Control Over Your Data
Because your data lives only on your device:
- You can view and edit all of it directly in the App at any time.
- Using “Reset all data” in the App permanently wipes all of your pools, tests, tasks, equipment, and checklist progress from your device.
- Deleting the App removes its data from your device.
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete on our side. Data-subject rights under laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK) and CCPA/CPRA (California) are satisfied by this design: we do not collect, sell, or share your personal information, for cross-context behavioral advertising or otherwise.
7. Security
Your information is protected primarily by the fact that it never leaves your device. The educational-content download is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connection. No method of storage is completely secure, but because we hold none of your personal data, the risk surface on our side is minimal.
8. International Users
Our educational content is delivered through a global content-delivery network, so the read-only content request may be served from a country other than the one in which you live, including the United States. Because that request carries no personal data, no personal information is transferred internationally.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — in particular, before introducing advertising (see Section 3). When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
